About the Process

What is Legalization

Legalization is the official registration of a foreign citizen's right to reside and work in Poland. Without proper documentation, work in the country is impossible - whether for taxi driving, employment, or business.

The process includes several stages: collecting documents from your home country, submitting an application to the regional office (Urząd Wojewódzki), waiting for a decision, and obtaining a Karta Pobytu or work permit. Each step requires careful attention - a rejection means wasted time and money.

Optima Partner helps partner drivers through legalization stress-free: our lawyer handles your case from the first consultation to document delivery. You focus on work - we handle the paperwork.

Main Document

Karta Pobytu

Karta Pobytu is a residence permit in Poland. The document confirms your right to legally reside in the country and, in most cases, work without a separate permit.

The card is issued by the regional office for 1 to 3 years with the possibility of renewal. After 5 years of continuous residence, you can obtain a permanent Karta Pobytu.

Most common grounds: employment, business ownership, family reunion. For Optima partner drivers, we most often arrange it through an employment contract.
